How can i know when the od kicks in?

I just bought a 2010 corolla and the rpms are at 3k on 80 mph. I think they are high because I have a honda civic 06 with same engine and the rpms are at 2500 at 80. They are both automatic tran. I'm wondering if anybody knows if it has an overdrive because there's no on anywhere and I can't see it on the dashboard. I was told it kicks in automatiacally but it seems like 3k rpms are to high.
