Why are so many Packers fans using the "Aaron Rodgers was hurt" excuse about the loss to the Lions?

It's because most Packers fans do nothing but whine because they didn't win the division. And making the excuse that Aaron Rodgers was hurt is the only way to make a loss to the Lions seem less embarring. Many teams have come close to losing to them, but the Packers are the only good team that did. Weren't the Lions starting a third string quarterback? Last time I checked, second string quarterbacks should still be better than any third string quarterback.
