What is the approximate cost of building on a scion tc engine to get about 300hp, and what kind of parts?

Im thinking about buying a 2009 tc soon. I want it to be more powerful than my honda accord that i am used to and that has about 272 hp. Looking over the answers on this I noticed that a good suggestion would be to build on the stock engine because it could handle 350 , and with serious modification over 500hp. If I brought it somewhere over here in Machusetts to have the work done what might a ball park figure be? Im looking to keep the engine and my vehicle for at least 5 years, so I don't want parts that are going to put extra wear and tear on my engine.
